1. 개요

KIIP Study는 대한민국 사회통합프로그램(KIIP) 시험 대비용 오프라인 어휘 학습 앱으로, iOS와 Android에서 제공됩니다. 본 개인정보 처리방침은 앱이 사용자 데이터를 어떻게 다루는지 설명합니다. 사용자의 학습 데이터는 모두 기기에만 저장됩니다. KIIP Study는 자체 학습 서버를 운영하지 않으며, 분석 또는 광고 SDK를 사용하지 않고, 사용자를 추적하지 않습니다. 앱이 사용자에 관해 전송하는 것은 앱 안정성 개선을 위한 익명 진단 정보입니다(아래 5항 참조). 이와 별도로 앱은 학습 콘텐츠와 음성·이미지 파일을 콘텐츠 서버에서 내려받습니다(6항 참조). 사용자가 직접 보내기로 선택한 문의·문항 신고 메일은 11항, 문제 공유 링크는 6항에서 설명합니다. 본 정책은 앱에 적용됩니다. 마케팅 웹사이트(kiipstudy.com)는 집계 방문 통계를 측정하기 위한 Google Analytics 쿠키와 오류 모니터링(Sentry)을 사용합니다.

2. 앱이 저장하는 정보

KIIP Study가 사용자에 관해 디바이스에 저장하는 항목은 모두 학습 활동에서 생기는 데이터입니다:

• 학습 진도(레벨, 회차)
• 문제별 정답·오답 기록 및 SRS(간격 반복) 상태
• 즐겨찾기/북마크한 단어
• 앱 설정값(인터페이스 언어, 활성 학습 레벨, 활성 문제 유형 등)

위 학습 정보는 디바이스에만 저장되며 앱이 KIIP Study 또는 제3자에게 업로드하지 않습니다. 다만 사용자가 직접 선택했을 때 다음 두 가지가 함께 나갑니다 — 앱 내 문의·문항 신고 메일에는 진단 목적으로 앱 언어 설정이 미리 채워지고(11항 참조), 문제 공유 링크에는 해당 문항과 정답 여부가 담깁니다(6항 참조).

3. 권한

KIIP Study는 별도의 시스템 권한을 요청하지 않습니다. 마이크, 카메라, 위치, 사진 라이브러리, 연락처, 캘린더, 건강 데이터, 광고 식별자에 대한 접근을 요청하지 않습니다. iOS에서는 App Tracking Transparency(ATT) 프롬프트를 표시하지 않습니다.

4. 데이터 저장 위치

모든 학습 데이터는 기기 내 로컬 저장소에 저장됩니다(iOS는 SwiftData와 UserDefaults, Android는 기기 내 로컬 데이터베이스와 환경설정 저장소). 앱이 학습 데이터 자체를 서버로 업로드하지 않습니다. KIIP Study는 분석, 광고, 원격 구성을 위한 제3자 SDK를 사용하지 않습니다. 앱이 사용자에 관해 기기 밖으로 전송하는 것은 앱 안정성 개선을 위한 익명 진단 정보이며, 다음 항목에서 설명합니다. 이와 별도로 앱은 학습 콘텐츠와 음성·이미지 파일을 내려받으며, 6항에서 설명합니다. 이와 별개로, 사용자가 직접 보내기로 선택한 문의·문항 신고 메일은 11항에서 설명합니다.

5. 크래시 및 오류 진단 (Sentry)

앱 안정성과 성능을 개선하기 위해, KIIP Study는 iOS와 Android 양쪽에서 익명 진단 정보만 Sentry(제3자 오류 모니터링 서비스 제공업체)로 전송합니다. 여기에는 비정상 종료(크래시)·오류 보고가 포함됩니다. iOS에서는 추가로 앱이 실행·종료된 횟수를 집계하는 세션 정보와, 정상 사용 중 일부만 샘플링되는 성능 트레이스가 전송됩니다. Android에서는 이 둘을 보내지 않습니다.

• 전송되는 정보는 기술적 진단(오류 메시지, 스택 트레이스, 오류 직전의 앱 동작 기록, 기기·OS 종류, 앱 버전, 일부 성능 트레이스)에 한정됩니다.
• 이름, 이메일, 계정 정보, IP 주소 등 개인 식별 정보를 수집하지 않으며(sendDefaultPii=false), 광고 식별자나 행동 분석 데이터도 수집하지 않습니다. 다만 진단 정보에는 앱 설치를 서로 구분하기 위한 무작위 식별자가 포함됩니다. 이 값은 광고 식별자가 아니며 다른 앱과 연결되지 않고, 앱을 삭제하면 사라집니다.
• 사용자의 학습 진도, 정답·오답 기록, 즐겨찾기, 설정은 이 진단에 포함되지 않으며 계속 기기에만 저장됩니다.
• 진단 정보는 전송 중 암호화(HTTPS)되며, 미국에 위치한 Sentry 서버에 보관됩니다. 보관 기간은 Sentry의 데이터 보존 정책에 따라 제한되며(일정 기간 경과 후 삭제), 자세한 사항은 Sentry의 개인정보 처리방침을 따릅니다.

6. KIIP Study가 이용하는 외부 서비스

5항의 진단 정보 전송 외에, KIIP Study는 다음 네 기능에서 기기 밖 서버와 통신합니다. 아래 어느 요청에도 이름·계정 등 사용자를 식별할 수 있는 정보를 앱이 담지 않습니다. 다만 인터넷 요청의 특성상 IP 주소 등 표준 연결 정보는 함께 전달됩니다.

• 인앱결제 — KIIP Study Pro 구매를 처리합니다. iOS는 StoreKit 2, Android는 Google Play 결제를 사용하며, 결제 정보는 Apple 또는 Google이 처리하고 앱은 거래 영수증만 확인합니다. 해당 정보에 대한 Apple 또는 Google의 사용은 각 사의 개인정보 처리방침의 적용을 받습니다.
• 학습 콘텐츠 내려받기 — 어휘 정의와 시험 문항은 KIIP Study의 콘텐츠 서버(Firebase Storage)에서 내려받습니다. 앱을 실행하거나 학습 언어를 바꿀 때 최신본인지 확인하며, 이미 받아 둔 내용이 최신이면 목록만 확인하고 끝냅니다. 뜻풀이는 지원하는 모든 언어가 아니라 현재 설정한 언어 하나만 받습니다.
• 음성·이미지 자산 — 어휘 전량에 원어민 음성 파일(mp3)이 있고, 일부 문항에는 삽화가 있습니다. 재생 버튼을 누르거나 삽화가 있는 문항이 나오면 그 파일만 콘텐츠 서버에서 내려받아 기기에 캐시하며, 같은 것을 다시 볼 때는 다시 받지 않습니다. 이 요청에 앱이 담아 보내는 정보는 어떤 파일이 필요한지뿐입니다. 발음 파일을 받지 못한 경우(오프라인 등)에만 iOS의 AVSpeechSynthesizer 또는 Android의 시스템 음성합성(TTS)이 대신 소리를 냅니다.
• 앱 업데이트 확인 — 새 버전이 나왔는지 확인합니다. iOS는 App Store에 앱 ID로 조회하고, Android는 Google Play의 업데이트 확인 기능을 사용합니다.

이와 별도로, 사용자가 문제를 공유하기로 선택하면 그 문제를 여는 웹 주소가 만들어집니다. 이 주소에는 어떤 단어·문항인지, 학습 모드와 레벨, 그리고 공유한 사람이 그 문제를 맞혔는지 여부가 담깁니다. 앱이 이 주소를 서버로 보내지는 않으며, 사용자가 선택한 상대에게 전달됩니다. 받은 사람이 주소를 열면 다른 방문과 마찬가지로 kiipstudy.com 방문 기록이 남습니다.

7. 데이터 보관 및 삭제

KIIP Study의 학습 데이터는 사용자가 삭제할 때까지 디바이스에 보관됩니다. 앱 내에서 학습 기록을 초기화하거나, KIIP Study를 삭제(앱 제거)하여 앱이 저장한 모든 학습 데이터·즐겨찾기·설정을 한번에 제거할 수 있습니다. 학습 데이터에는 클라우드 컴포넌트가 없으므로 개발자 측에 학습 데이터의 사본은 존재하지 않습니다. 앞서 설명한 익명 진단 정보는 이름·계정 등 개인 식별 정보를 포함하지 않으며 Sentry의 보존 정책에 따라 보관됩니다. 사용자가 직접 보낸 문의·문항 신고 메일은 예외로, 해당 메일과 거기 담긴 정보는 수신함에 남습니다 — 보관과 삭제는 11항에서 설명합니다.

8. 기기 백업

KIIP Study는 동기화를 위해 iCloud, CloudKit, Google 계정 동기화 등을 사용하지 않습니다. 다만 시스템 설정에서 기기 백업(iOS의 iCloud 백업 또는 Android의 백업)이 활성화되어 있을 경우, 운영체제가 KIIP Study의 로컬 데이터를 표준 기기 백업에 포함할 수 있습니다. 이 설정은 사용자가 기기에서 직접 제어합니다.

9. 아동의 개인정보

KIIP Study는 만 14세 미만 아동을 대상으로 직접 마케팅하지 않으며, 아동으로부터 어떠한 정보도 고의로 수집하지 않습니다.

10. 정책 변경

본 개인정보 처리방침이 변경되는 경우 상단의 “최종 갱신” 날짜를 갱신합니다. 중요한 변경 사항은 App Store 및 Google Play의 릴리즈 노트에도 반영됩니다.

11. 연락처 및 앱 내 문의·문항 신고

본 개인정보 처리방침에 대한 문의, 앱 내 “문의하기”와 문항 신고는 모두 다음 이메일로 접수됩니다: wer2774@gmail.com.

iOS의 앱 내 문의·문항 신고는 사용자의 메일 앱을 열어 본문을 미리 채워줄 뿐이며, 앱이 스스로 전송하는 내용은 없습니다. 내용을 확인·수정한 뒤 사용자 본인의 메일 계정에서 직접 발송하며, 보낼지 여부는 전적으로 사용자의 선택입니다.

메일 본문에 미리 채워지는 정보는 다음과 같습니다:

• 앱 버전·빌드 번호, iOS 버전, 기기 모델 식별자(예: “iPhone15,4”), 앱 내 언어 및 시스템 언어 설정
• 문항 신고인 경우, 신고 대상 문항을 찾기 위한 식별자 한 줄(예: “word L3-먹다 / cloze”)

학습 기록과 구독 상태는 포함되지 않습니다. 메일을 보내면 사용자의 메일 계정 정보(발신 주소 등)가 메일 자체에 담겨 전달됩니다.

기기에 메일 앱이 설정되어 있지 않아 메일 화면을 열지 못한 경우, 앱은 보내려던 내용(수신 주소·제목·위 정보)을 기기의 클립보드에 복사하고 그 사실을 알려드립니다. 이때도 전송은 일어나지 않으며, 복사된 내용은 기기 안에만 있습니다.

접수된 메일은 문의 응대와 문항 오류 수정에만 사용하며, 마케팅이나 프로파일링에 사용하지 않습니다. 문의 처리에 필요한 기간 동안만 보관하고, 삭제를 요청하시면 당사 수신함에서 해당 메일을 삭제합니다. 보내주신 메일은 사용자의 메일 서비스와 당사 메일 서비스 제공업체를 거쳐 전달되며, 각 서비스의 개인정보 처리방침이 함께 적용됩니다.

12. 시행일자

시행일자: 2026년 7월 29일

1. Overview

KIIP Study is an offline vocabulary app for iOS and Android that helps foreign residents in Korea prepare for the Korean Immigration and Integration Program (KIIP) exam. This policy explains what the app does with the information you generate while using it. Your learning data stays on your device. KIIP Study does not run any learning servers, does not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not track you. The app sends anonymous diagnostic information about you to improve app stability (see section 5). Separately, the app downloads study content and audio and image files from a content server (see section 6). Inquiry and question-report emails, which you choose to send yourself, are described in section 11, and question share links in section 6. This policy covers the app. The marketing website (kiipstudy.com) uses Google Analytics cookies to measure aggregate visitor traffic and Sentry for error monitoring.

2. Information Stored in the App

Everything KIIP Study stores about you on your device is learning data you generate by using the app:

• Study progress (level, session count)
• Per-question right/wrong history and SRS (spaced repetition) state
• Words you favorite or bookmark
• App preferences (interface language, active study levels, active question types)

This learning information is stored locally on your device, and the app never uploads it to KIIP Study or any third party. Two things travel only when you choose to send them: an in-app inquiry or question report carries the app language setting pre-filled into that email as diagnostic information (see section 11), and a question share link carries that question and whether you answered it correctly (see section 6).

3. Permissions

KIIP Study does not request any system permissions. It does not request access to the microphone, camera, location, photo library, contacts, calendar, health data, or advertising identifiers. On iOS, it does not present an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.

4. Where Your Data Lives

All learning data is stored in your device's local storage (SwiftData and UserDefaults on iOS; an on-device local database and preference store on Android). The app never uploads your learning data itself to any server. KIIP Study does not use any third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, or remote configuration. What the app sends off your device about you is anonymous diagnostic information used to improve app stability, described in the next section. Separately, the app downloads study content and audio and image files, described in section 6. Inquiry and question-report emails that you choose to send yourself are described in section 11.

5. Crash and Error Diagnostics (Sentry)

To improve app stability and performance, KIIP Study sends only anonymous diagnostic information to Sentry (a third-party error-monitoring service provider) on both iOS and Android. This includes crash and error reports. On iOS it also sends session information — a count of when the app is opened and closed — and a sampled subset of performance traces captured during normal use. Android sends neither of those.

• The information sent is limited to technical diagnostics (error message, stack trace, a record of what the app was doing just before the error, device/OS type, app version, and some performance traces).
• It does not collect personally identifying information such as your name, email, account, or IP address (sendDefaultPii=false), and it does not collect advertising identifiers or behavioral analytics. Diagnostics do include a random identifier that distinguishes one app installation from another. It is not an advertising identifier, is not linked to other apps, and disappears when you uninstall the app.
• Your study progress, right/wrong history, favorites, and preferences are not included in these diagnostics and continue to be stored only on your device.
• Diagnostics are encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored on Sentry servers located in the United States. They are retained for a limited period under Sentry's data-retention policy (deleted after a set period) and are otherwise governed by Sentry's privacy policy.

6. External Services KIIP Study Uses

Besides the diagnostics described in section 5, KIIP Study communicates with servers outside your device for four features. The app does not put your name, account, or other identifying information into any of these requests. That said, as with any internet request, standard connection details such as your IP address are transmitted as part of how the network works.

• In-app purchases— handle the purchase of KIIP Study Pro. iOS uses StoreKit 2 and Android uses Google Play Billing; payment information is processed by Apple or Google, and the app only sees the transaction receipt. Apple's or Google's use of this information is governed by their respective privacy policies.
• Study content downloads— word definitions and exam questions are downloaded from KIIP Study's own content server (Firebase Storage). The app checks for the current version when you open it or change your study language; if what you already have is current, it only checks the listing and stops there. Definitions are downloaded for the one language you have set, not for every language offered.
• Audio and image files— every word has a native-speaker audio file (mp3), and some questions have illustrations. Tapping play, or reaching a question that has one, downloads just that file from the content server and caches it on your device, so the same one isn't downloaded again. The only information the app puts into that request is which file is needed. Only if a pronunciation file can't be fetched (e.g., you're offline) does the system voice — AVSpeechSynthesizer on iOS or the system text-to-speech engine on Android — speak the word instead.
• App update checks— the app checks whether a newer version is available. iOS queries the App Store by app ID; Android uses Google Play's update check.

Separately, if you choose to share a question, the app builds a web address that opens it. That address carries which word or question it is, the study mode and level, and whether you answered it correctly. The app does not send this address to any server — it goes to whomever you choose. When the recipient opens it, that visit is recorded on kiipstudy.com like any other visit.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your KIIP Study learning data stays on your device until you delete it. You can reset your study history from within the app, or you can uninstall KIIP Study to delete every piece of learning data, favorite, and preference the app has stored. Because your learning data has no cloud component, there is no copy of it on our side. The anonymous diagnostics described above contain no personally identifying information such as your name or account and are retained according to Sentry's retention policy. Inquiry and question-report emails you send yourself are the exception: those messages and the information in them stay in our inbox — see section 11 for how we retain and delete them.

8. Device Backups

KIIP Study does not use iCloud, CloudKit, or Google account sync for syncing. However, your operating system may include KIIP Study's local data in standard device backups if you have device backups (iCloud Backup on iOS or backups on Android) enabled in your system settings. You control that setting on your device.

9. Children's Privacy

KIIP Study is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be reflected in the app's release notes on the App Store and Google Play.

11. Contact, In-App Inquiries, and Question Reports

Questions about this policy, the in-app “Contact us” option, and question reports all reach us at the same address: wer2774@gmail.com.

On iOS, the in-app inquiry and question report features open your own mail app with a pre-filled message. The app itself sends nothing. You review and edit the message and send it from your own mail account, and whether to send it at all is entirely your choice.

The pre-filled message contains:

• App version and build number, iOS version, device model identifier (e.g. “iPhone15,4”), and your in-app and system language settings
• For a question report, one line identifying the question being reported (e.g. “word L3-먹다 / cloze”)

Your study history and subscription status are not included. When you send the message, your mail account details (such as your sending address) travel with the email itself.

If no mail app is set up on your device and the compose screen cannot open, the app copies what it would have sent (the recipient address, subject, and the information above) to your device's clipboard and tells you it did. Nothing is transmitted in this case either — the copied text stays on your device.

We use the mail we receive only to answer your inquiry and to fix reported content errors — never for marketing or profiling. We keep it only as long as handling your inquiry requires, and we delete it from our inbox if you ask us to. Mail you send passes through your own email service and our email provider, and each of their privacy policies applies to it as well.

12. Effective Date

Effective: July 29, 2026
